What was wrong?
We were experiencing a malfunction that affected the performance of the application and logging in. This glitch was erratic, so trying again in a clean browser provided a better result.
What was the sign of this?
The effect of this malfunction was that logging in hung and showed a proxy error after a few minutes. If you were logged in, it could take a long time for pages to load.
What was the solution?
The issue is resolved by restarting the affected servers.
